The UNU-LRT programme helped me gain a lot of knowledge in the field of land restoration and rehabilitation. I mainly gained experience regarding the potential of soil carbon sequestration and changes in plant composition and biomass caused by pastureland degradation. I think UNU-LRT is one of the best programmes for people who are dealing with land degradation and a good way to improve their knowledge and skills.

Participating in the LRT programme was truly an exceptional experience! The programme opened many doors and international networks for me. Since 2009, I have participated and contributed to international dialogues, especially those related to my LRT project. The knowledge I gained from the programme has significantly added to my job and current study, in which I use methods and approaches I learned during the LRT programme.
